Twitter, the social media platform, has openly acknowledged the huge security breach on its Android version of the app by a malicious code. This code will be able to take control of Twitter users' account information or take control of your Twitter account to send tweets and direct messages. The company revealed, “We don’t have evidence that malicious code was inserted into the app or that this vulnerability was exploited, but we can’t be completely sure so we are taking extra caution.”
The company has taken steps to fix this issue and are directly notifying people who could have been exposed to this vulnerability either through the Twitter app or by email with specific instructions to keep them safe, and the company also rejected the statement whether this has affected Indian users. In India, 9/10 users have Android smartphones and the company said, “We are not able to comment on the locations of those affected".
